Stipends: $2500 travel, $1500 critical need, $500 doctoral, also candidates may qualify for LP stipend ($4000) and/or bilingual stipend ($1500). Longevity pay at $100 added annually after third year in AISD.

Job Description Responsible for all individual evaluations and related documentation for students referred or eligible for special education services. May be required to travel, and/or be on call. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Administers assessment instruments and accurately scores and interprets results. Understands and follows agency and special education confidentiality policies. Performs related duties and other tasks as assigned. Consult with parents/guardians on the interpretation of educational assessment findings Assist in the planning of individual goals and accommodations contained in the student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP) Maintain appropriate records Ability to effectively communicate with teachers, administrators, and parents Ensure all services are performed in accordance with state laws and regulations Perform other Educational Diagnostician duties/responsibilities required by the Program and within the scope of licensure and/or certification TX State licensure or ability to obtain required licensure REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university. AND Valid Licensure as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP). Preferred: Experience with children and adolescents in teaching or evaluation/assessment (educational and/or psychological). Failure to maintain required certification/licensure in the state of Texas will result in termination of employment. This position is subject to mandatory pre-employment drug testing and any offer of employment is contingent upon acceptable results from a drug screen conducted for the agency. KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of state and federal education laws and regulations. Knowledge of subject matter to be taught and the ability to lead discussions. Ability to implement Texas Education Agency (TEA) education policies and procedures. Ability to review and implement agency policies, procedures, and operating guidelines. Ability to convey and interpret information to students. Ability to communicate orally and in writing with students, parents, administrators, and other professionals involved in the education of agency youth. Ability to work under stressful conditions, with possible occurrences of extreme heightened stress. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision. Ability to work effectively as a team member and get along with others. Ability to keep accurate files and records.
